The faces of Durga tell a story of individuation and maturation of the Soul and Psyche. Beginning with the bottom left of the Tigress, Durga Ma is represented for the first three panels in various expressions as Kali, goddess of purification, destruction, regeneration, and vital life force, then as Lakshmi, goddess of abundance, beauty, and lush aliveness, and finally Saraswati, goddess of wisdom, poetry, music, creativity. The faces of Durga also follow an arc of maiden to mother to crone.
I just love the rich layers of meaning- but what I love even more is simply connecting with the frequencies of each individual expression of the One.
Each of these aspects of Durga represent a yogic pathway of self-liberation when studied and contemplated.
Each goddess carries her own frequency as well as archetypal symbolism.
This artwork and Durga’s energy anchors self-liberation and wholeness. She invites the viewer to reach beyond the binary and allow the infinite potential of the Universe to emerge and express from deep within you- finding new and innovating ways of being and relating.
Connecting with this artwork is a way of inviting powerful Divine Feminine energy of protection, strength, and fierce lion-hearted love to flow throughout your life and arise within your own body consciousness.
